We do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item you purchased is defective upon receiving them. All items are inspected prior to shipment, so any present damage most-likely has occurred during shipping. If you receive a damaged/defective item or are having troubles with your order, please contact us via our support form here with details of the product and the defect. Please include photos and the order number, so we can effectively address your concern. Customers are responsible for examining the received product and notifying us immediately if there are damages present due to shipping/handling.
Flat back studs can NOT be returned due to the nature of the earring. It is impossible for us to fully sterilize flat back earrings once they have been tried on by customers. As such, all flat back earring sales are final.
Note: Notice of the defective item must be submitted within 72 hours of the item being received, as timestamped by USPS Tracking. Return shipping cost is covered by the buyer and will not be included in the refund cost. Replacement shipping for any items to be covered by Indiecords & co. We are not responsible for replacing items that have been damaged outside of that 72 hour timeframe. If items are damaged or broken following reception of them, Indiecords & co. nor its employees are responsible for compensation or replacement of damaged items. Refunds will not be given for items that are broken or lost by customers.
ITEM CARE: Please be sure to store your items in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid contact with water, oils, perfumes, lotions, creams, harsh chemicals, etc. Do not twist, tug on, or pull your earrings as rough handling may cause them to break. Make sure all jewelry items are securely fastened whether via earring back, hoop latch, clasp, etc. We are not responsible for lost/missing earrings due to not verifying items are completely fastened.
Shipping (part 1)
If items are lost in transit, we are not responsible for replacing them. Once packages leave our hands and are dropped off at the Post Office, we are not responsible for what happens to them. We recommend upgrading shipping and adding insurance whenever possible to ensure that packages arrive or are covered in the unfortunate event of a shipping issue.
If a customer wishes to return their item or request a refund, it must be processed after they have received their item(s) and cannot be issued within the 8-10 business day packing time or during shipping time, however long it may be. The customer is responsible for return postage. A small restocking fee will also be deducted from the final refund total, in order to account for item sterilization and logging.
Every Indiecords customer receives an email with USPS tracking information. Indiecords & Co. is able to view when each package was delivered. If the product was delivered on Friday at 2 PM, as timestamped by USPS, the customer has 72 hours to report any defective items. If notice of damage/defective item(s) are not sent via Indiecords & co. support form (found here) by Monday at 2 PM then the claim is no longer valid under the Return policy.
